The official press conference of the 6-Star rated ASP Women’s Qualification Series (QS) event was held today (Monday), with the top female surfers in the world expressing their relish for the upcoming competition. With good banks at the contest site of Les Bourdaines, matched with a forecast of sunny weather and waves of between one to three feet, organizers are confident of getting underway on Day 1 of the waiting period. |

“I’m really happy to be back in France. It’s perfect timing for me with a World Championship Tour (WCT) event on in a couple of weeks and Swatch always does such a great job here,” said Coco Ho (HAW), currently ranked No. 10 in the world. “It’s a really strong field for the event and it’s always good to surf against all the girls here, not just the same 17 on the WCT. Plus the waves are usually great, so I’m super excited.” |

Justine Dupont (FRA), originally from Lacanau, but now living a walk away from the contest site is stoked to be surfing on her home turf. “I’m really happy and excited to back here surfing and competing in France,” said Dupont, who is striving to qualify for the elite Top 17 WCT for 2015. “To compete with world’s best surfers and with all my friends and family supporting me is pretty special. Let’s hope we get some waves.” |
