Longboard Team

Overview
Surfing New Zealand selects a New Zealand Longboard Team annually.  The team competes at the International Surfing Association (ISA) World Longboard Championship.

The World Longboard Championship is an IOC recognised event which attracts approximately 70 entries from over 20 countries.

Surfers compete for both individual and team medals.

Team Composition
2x Men’s Longboard
1x Women’s Longboard
1x Under 18 Men’s Longboard

Selection Criteria
Teams are selected using the Surfing New Zealand Selection Criteria.

Time Frame
The 2018 ISA World Longboard Championship will be held on Hainan Island, China from the 19th – 25th January.

Most Recent Results
The 2013 ISA World Longboard Championship were held at Huachaco, Trujilo, Peru.
