Surfing Since: I started standing on a boogie board when I was 5 but did not get my first board until I was about 11.
How did you start surfing: We used to spend our summer holidays camping in Bowentown so we were at the beach every day. I got pretty bored of bodyboarding really quick, so I just started surfing every day from then on.
Surfing competitively Since: 12 (2008)
Competition strategy: Do not overthink or stress out. Most people who know me know that I am always the last to check in. Don’t’ know if that is a strategy or what Haha.
New Zealand teams: NZ junior team 2015 USA, NZ Oceania team Samoan 2019
Career highlight: I would say being the captain of the NZ junior team when I went to the USA and got to pour the sand at the opening ceremony.
Ambitions: To surf as long as I can and have a decent work life balance.

Favourite surf break: The Island for sure, also got a couple spots in the South Pacific we can’t name.
People you surf with the most: The bro Andrew ‘Puntlord’ Fraser Mac, Kehu Butler, Jezza Hayman, I went through my grom days surfing heaps with my close mates Harry Macintosh and Taylor Hutch
