The 2023 ISA Women’s Judging Program will take place virtually from November 15-17, 2023.
Current female judges, former competitors, and women with an interest in pursuing competitive surf judging that are endorsed by their National Federation are encouraged to apply.
As a part of the ISA’s ongoing efforts and commitment to promote gender equality across the sport of Surfing and increase the number of female technical officials in our sport, we are pleased to announce another edition of our Women’s Judging Program.
This opportunity is building upon the foundation laid in our historic Women’s Judging Programs in 2020 with 127 women from 34 countries in a three-day online judges training and 2022 with our on-site judging training during the ISA World Surfing Games, an Olympic Qualification Event.
This ISA Judging training initiative is offered exclusively to women and the program will include the ISA Judging and Officiating Course and Certification, Olympic Judging Testimonials, and additional technical judging details and topics.
The program is subsidized by the ISA and is free for the women selected to participate. The requirements for participation are:
- Women age 18+
- Endorsement by your National Surfing Federation
- Interest in surf judging (surf judging experience is a plus but not a requirement)
Application Deadline is Friday October 27, 2023.
Selected participants will be notified at the beginning of November.
