Overview
Surfing New Zealand selects a New Zealand Masters Surfing Team annually. The team competes at the International Surfing Association (ISA) World Masters Surfing Championship held around the world annually.
The World Masters Surfing Championship is an IOC recognised event which attracts approximately 160 surfers from over 20 countries.
Surfers compete for both individual and team medals in all divisions.
Team Composition
2x Men’s Masters (35 and over)
2x Men’s and Women’s Grand Masters (40 and over)
2x Men’s and Women’s Kahunas (45 and over)
1x Men’s and Women’s Grand Masters (50 and over)
1x Women’s Masters (35 and over)
Selection Criteria
Teams are selected using the Surfing New Zealand Selection Criteria.
