Favourite event of the year and why?
Nationals because it’s a week long event and you get to spend the week surfing with NZ’s best, and the Sequence Junior Pro because it’s here in Gizzy and a fun comp to end the season.
What is your go to pre-event fuel?
Dried mango -it’s so good! Or a pie.
Favourite pump-up song pre surf?
I don’t have a favourite song but do have a couple of ‘go to’ play lists that get me pumped.
If you could surf with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
Gabriel Medina, he’s such an amazing all round surfer.
If you could surf any wave in the world, where would you go?
Trestles because it’s a high quality performance wave.
If you could instantly master any other sport, what would it be?
Skating!
What are your goals for the next season or upcoming competitions?
To surf at a higher consistent level and achieve more excellent range scores.
What advice would you give a young surfer keen to try their first event?
Just do it! The competition environment is awesome and the grom comps are always so much fun, you get to meet and make friends with heaps of other grom from around the country.
