JOAQUINA BEACH, Florianopolis/BRA (Monday, October 28, 2013) – A second consecutive lay day has been called at the HD World Junior Championships presented by Devassa, with strong southerly winds and stormy conditions prevailing at Joaquina Beach.

The HD World Junior Championships holds a women’s waiting period from October 27 through November 3, 2013, while the men’s waiting period runs from October 29 through November 5, 2013, offering ample time to crown both men’s and women’s ASP World Junior Champions.

“We’ve got similar conditions again today and have to call a second lay day,” Luli Pereira, ASP World Junior Championships Head Judge said. “We’re expecting the wind to die throughout the day and hope to get competition underway in the morning.”

The 2013 HD World Junior Championships will be webcast LIVE via  http://www.hd-wjc.com/
